Description

Luban polypropylene is manufactured using Novolen vertical stirred Gas-phase polymerization process. Luban HP3104K is a homopolymer polypropylene, it is suitable for high speed metallisable Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film.

Application

Core layer in BOPP film. Food and non-food packaging bags, plain and laminated garment bags, plain and pigmented label film, lamination film, plain overwrap film, plain and colored adhesive tapes.

Storage and Handling

Luban HP3104K must be protected from direct sunlight and should be stored in a shaded and completely dry area. During handling and processing, the material should be kept in a well-ventilated area to prevent the accumulation of dust and fumes. Contact with strong oxidizers, excessive heat, sparks or open flame should be avoided as this could initiate the degradation process and consequently impact the quality of the material

Safety

Food Contact

Luban HP3104K meets the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as specified in 21 CFR 177.1520, covering safe use of polyolefin articles and components of articles intended for direct food contact. Recycling

The product is suitable for recycling using modern methods of shredding and cleaning. In-house production waste should be kept clean to facilitate direct recycling.

DESCRIPTION

HD915CF is a Homopolymer grade produced by the proprietary Borstar® process. This grade is a highly Crystalline Homopolymer resin based on Borstar Nucleation Technology (BNT) offering high stiffness to film structure. This grade is designed for Metalisable Cast Film (MCPP) applications.

Product Description

Moplen HP552R is a polypropylene homopolymer suitable for extrusion applications. Moplen HP552R is formulated with an anti-gasfading stabilisation package. Moplen HP552R is used for the production of (bulk) continuous filaments and fine denier staple fibres. Typical applications are carpets and nonwovens.

This grade is not intended for medical and pharmaceutical applications.

Storage:

The resin is packed in 25 kg bags, octabins or bulk containers protecting it from contamination. If it is stored under certain conditions, i. e. if there are large fluctuations in ambient temperature and the atmospheric humidity is high, moisture may condense inside the packaging. Under these circumstances, it is recommended to dry the resin before use. Unfavorable storage conditions may also intensify the resin's slight characteristic odor.

Resin should be protected from direct sunlight, temperatures above 40°C and high atmospheric humidity during storage. Higher storage temperatures may reduce the storage time. Repol H350FG is recommended for use in Fiber Spinning operations, for making multifilament yarn, and Nonwovens. Repol H350FG has excellent uniformity needed for high-speed spinning of fine deniers. Repol H350FG contains excellent process stabilizer package suitable for non-woven and filament products. Formulated for gas fading resistance.

Regulatory Information

The product complies with Indian Standard IS 10910 on “Specification for polypropylene and its copolymers for safe use in contact with foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and drinking water. It also conforms to IS 16738:2018 on positive list of constituents for polypropylene, polyethylene and their copolymers for its safe use in contact with foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The grade and the additives incorporated in it also comply with the FDA:CFR Title 21,177.1520, Olefin polymers

Product Description

Moplen EP332L is a heterophasic copolymer with medium flow used in injection molding. This grade is characterized by a medium stiffness-impact balance at low temperature as well as a low warpage tendency. The additive formulation provides a good heat aging resistance. Moplen EP332L is typically used by customers requiring a high resistance to temperature degradation, in particular for battery cases and automotive components.

This grade is not intended for medical and pharmaceutical applications.

Workers should be protected from the possibility of skin or eye contact with molten polymer. Safety glasses are suggested as a minimal precaution to prevent mechanical or thermal injury to the eyes.

Molten polymer may be degraded if it is exposed to air during any of the processing and off-line operations. The products of degradation may have an unpleasant odor. In higher concentrations they may cause irritation of the mucus membranes. Fabrication areas should be ventilated to carry away fumes or vapours. Legislation on the control of emissions and pollution prevention should be observed.

RE420MO is suitable for high speed injection moulding due to clarification and excellent demoulding properties. Articles originating from this product have excellent transparency, good organoleptic properties, good balance of stiffness and impact strength at ambient and refrigerator temperatures, low blooming, good denesting performance and excellent hinge properties.

PROCESSING TECHNIQUES

RE420MO is easy to process with standard injection moulding machines and injection stretch

blow moulding machines.

Following parameters should be used as guidelines:

Melt temperature 220 - 260 °C

Holding pressure 200 - 500 bar

Mould temperature 30 - 40 °C

Injection speed High

Shrinkage 1 - 2 %, depending on wall thickness and moulding parameters

Repol H050MN is recommended for injection molding and sheet extrusion. It is an ideal choice as a compounding base and as a blending material in furniture compounds. It is also suitable for molding rigid containers, houseware and thermoware. Repol H050MN contains nucleating agent for high rigidity and reduced cycle time. It also contains antistatic agent that reduces static charge build up on products.

Melt temperature: 220 – 260 OC

Mold temperature: 20 – 50 OC

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Polypropylene resin should be stored in a manner to prevent a direct exposure to sunlight and/or heat. The storage area should also be dry and preferably do not exceed 50°C. SABIC would not give warranty to bad storage conditions which may lead to quality deterioration such as color change, bad smel and inadequate product performance.
