Product Characteristics:

Polysure R0536L is a 1-butene comonomer based Linear Low Density Polyethylene, produced by Gas Phase – UNIPOLTM PE technology and primarily suitable for Roto molding process. R0536L offers low sintering time, good ESCR and very good stiffness-impact balance. It is recommended to incorporate optimum level of Carbon black or long-term UV stabilizer during processing of R0536L for withstanding continuous outdoor exposer.

Storage & Handling:

Bags should be stored in dry & dust free environment at temperature below 50°C and Prevent from direct exposure to sunlight & heat to avoid quality deterioration.

Regulatory Requirements:

R0536L to be manufactured complying the requirements specified in IS 10146 on “Specification for Polyethylene for its safe in contact with Foodstuff, Pharmaceutical & Drinking water”. Furthermore, the Additives added in this grade formulation compiles to the “Positive list of constituents for Polypropylene, Polyethylene and their Copolymers for its safe use in contact with Foodstuffs & Pharmaceuticals' as laid down under IS 16738:2018. In general, the additives & constituents used in the grade are in line with requirement laid down under FDA: CFR Title 21,177.1520, Olefin Polymers.

DESCRIPTION

EFDC-7050 is a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resin for tubular blown film extrusion. Films extruded from EFDC-7050 have good toughness and high tensile strength and puncture resistance. The product offers excellent draw down capability for making thinner gauge films. EFDC contains high levels of slip and antiblocking agent. It offers excellent sealing and machining characteristics for high-speed film converting operations

APPLICATIONS

EFDC-7050 is recommended for the manufacture of thin gauge liner films, garment bags and films for other industrial, food packaging and other general-purpose applications requiring toughness and puncture resistance.

FOOD CONTACT USAGE

EFDC-7050 can be used for all food contact applications including those designed to hold food during cooking. It conforms to US FDA Regulation 21 CFR 177.1520 as well as EC Directive 90/128/EEC and its amendments todate. Food contact suitability certificate is available upon request.

AVAILABILITY

EFDC-7050 is supplied in 25-Kg bags in secured pallets of 55 bags (1.375 MT net). It is also supplied in sea bulk containers of up to 15 MT capacity.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

EFDC-7050 is supplied in pellet form and is readily conveyed on conventional polyethylene bulk handing equipment. The bulk handling system should be designed to prevent accumulation of fines and dust particles that can pose an explosion hazard. Ensure all equipment is properly grounded. SABIC 119ZJ is a butene linear low density polyethylene resin typically used for general purpose applications. Films produced from this resin are tough with good puncture resistance, high tensile strength and good hottack properties. The resin contains slip and antiblock additive. SABIC® LLDPE 118WJ is TNPP free. This product is not intended for and must not be used in any pharmaceutical/medical applications.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Shipping sacks, ice bags, frozen food bags, stretch wrap film, produce bags, liners, carrier bags, garbage bags, agricultural films, laminated and coextruded films for meat wrap, frozen food and other food packaging, shrink film (for blending with LDPE), industrial consumer packaging, and high clarity film applications if blended with (10~20%) LDPE.

PROCESSING CONDITIONS

Typical processing conditions for 118WJ are: Melt temperature: 195 - 215°C, Blow up ratio: 2.0 - 3.0

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Polyethylene resin should be stored in a manner to prevent a direct exposure to sunlight and/or heat. The storage area should also be dry and preferably do not exceed 50°C. SABIC would not give warranty to bad storage conditions which may lead to quality deterioration such as color change, bad smell and inadequate product performance. It is advisable to process PE resin within 6 months after delivery.

ENVIRONMENT AND RECYCLING

The environmental aspects of any packaging material do not only imply waste issues but have to be considered in relation with the use of natural resources, the preservations of foodstuffs, etc. SABIC Europe considers polyethylene to be an environmentally efficient packaging material. Its low specific energy consumption and insignificant emissions to air and water designate polyethylene as the ecological alternative in comparison with the traditional packaging materials. Recycling of packaging materials is supported by SABIC Europe whenever ecological and social benefits are achieved and where a social infrastructure for selective collecting and sorting of packaging is fostered. Whenever 'thermal' recycling of packaging (i.e. incineration with energy recovery) is carried out, polyethylene -with its fairly simple molecular structure and low amount of additives- is considered to be a trouble-free fuel.

PROCESSING CONDITIONS

Borstar®FB2230 can be processed in most types of blown film equipment such as LDPE, LLDPE or HDPE extruders. The balance of draw down properties and bubble stability is superior to conventional LLDPE and LDPE. Thickness of 10 to >2000m can be processed with good bubble stability. The product is well suited for co-extrusion.

Recommended extrusion temperature is 190 - 210°C. A die gap of 1.0 - 1.8 mm will give the best balance between extruder pressure and physical properties in the film. Wider die gap gives higher machine direction orientation.

Borstar®FB2230 provides excellent mechanical properties balance by optimizing film processing parameters like Blow up ratio (BUR) and Frost Line Height (FLH). Higher impact strength can be achieved by raising the FLH. High BUR (>2) also results in improved mechanical properties.

FOOD CONTACT REGULATIONS

Borstar®FB2230 fulfils the food contact regulations in most countries. If required, contact your Borouge representative for a certificate.

STORAGE

This product should be stored in dry conditions at temperature bellow 50°C and protected from UV-light. Improper storage can initiate degradation, which results in odour generation and colour changes and can have negative effects on physical properties of this product. DFDC-7080 is a butene LLDPE grade offering excellent drawdown and puncture resistance combined with high gloss and clarity. Films made from DFDC-7080 resin have very good tensile and toughness properties.

Storage and Handling

Luban DFDC-7080 must be protected from direct sunlight and should be stored in a shaded and completely dry area. During handling and processing, the material should be kept in a well-ventilated area to prevent the accumulation of dust and fumes. Contact with strong oxidizers, excessive heat, sparks or open flame should be avoided as this could initiate the degradation process and consequently impact the quality of the material.

Safety

Luban DFDC-7080 is not classified as dangerous preparation. For further information about safety in handling and processing please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.

Food Contact

Luban DFDC-7080 meets the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as specified in 21 CFR 177.1520, covering safe use of polyolefin articles and components of articles intended for direct food contact. For additional information on approved conditions of use for food contact applications, please refer to the “Product Stewardship Declaration”.

Recycling

The product is suitable for recycling using modern methods of shredding and cleaning. In-house production waste should be kept clean to facilitate direct recycling.
